Ndakaiteyi Magunda-Siriya was born in Buhera, Zimbabwe, and now makes her home in Canada. A born-again believer, nurturing mother, and devoted wife, she serves her community as a nurse while carrying a deeper calling: to bear witness to grace.
Her passion for the Word of God flows through worship music, where she writes songs that echo mercy and hope. Each lyric is an offering, each melody a prayer that souls might encounter the saving love she has known.
Compelled by Godden Matanga’s extraordinary journey, Ndakaiteyi felt called to share his story. Handpicked is her testimony — a declaration that redemption is possible, that mercy is unrelenting, and that even in the darkest places, light can break through.
Why I Wrote Handpicked : The Godden Matanga Story
I have walked through storms in my own life and experienced God's faithful hand carrying me through them. Those experiences inspired me to write a book of stories from people who had also faced life's storms and witnessed God's presence, guidance, and deliverance.
When I first listened to Godden Matanga's story, I immediately realized it was different. His journey was not simply another chapter to be included in a collection of testimonies. It was a remarkable story of hardship, redemption, and transformation that deserved to be told on its own.
I was deeply moved by the way God walked with him through overwhelming challenges and by how God's love, grace, and forgiveness reached into his life and handpicked him from among many others. I was convinced that this extraordinary testimony needed its own book.
My prayer is that as you read Godden's story, you will be encouraged to see that no storm is too great, no situation too hopeless, and no person beyond the reach of God's love and redeeming power.
